2 Ph.D. Positions in Communication Networks at UCF

The Networking and Wireless Systems Lab (NWSL) (http://nwsl.ece.ucf.edu) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is looking for motivated and exceptionally qualified full-time Ph.D. students. The selected candidate will perform cutting-edge research in computer communications and networking as part of externally funded projects. The start date is expected to be Fall 2018. An ideal candidate will have the enthusiasm and passion for performing quality graduate work as well as patience to tackle academically challenging problems. The candidates must have or be expecting a B.S. or an M.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related disciplines. Applicants with an M.S. degree will be given preference. Further, the following criteria are desired and will be used for candidate selection:
- Strong programming and software integration skills
- Strong background in mathematics and analytical thinking
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Background in communication networks (candidates from other areas are also welcome)
- Ability to work in an inter-disciplinary team
- Ability to pursue independent research

- Names and contact details of at least two references, who are willing to provide detailed recommendation letters
