Title Direct-conversion receiver performances for WiMAX radio systems
Authors Ms. Nouri Naziha, Ecole Supérieure de Télécommunication de Tunis, Tunis, Tunisia

Abstract The different types of existing receivers do not necessarily meet the current needs of new mobile telecommunication systems. The discovery of new direct conversion receivers to broadband can overcome these problems. These receivers are most suitable for WiMAX systems. Despite the numerous advantages of direct conversion receivers, they suffer from several disadvantages especially in the millimeter wave frequency band.

In this paper, we will study the influence of DC-offset, IQ imbalance and second-order intermodulation IM2 on the BER performance receiver. A wealth of solutions was suggested to solve this problem, in our case, we choose the method of Faulkner in order to reduce the defects of IM2.
