Biography
Ahmed Abdeltawab Abdelgawad Aboughonim was born in Egypt, in 1976. He received a B.Sc. in Telecommunication and Electronics from Zagazig University, Egypt in 1999, a diploma in Information Technology from the Information Technology Institute, Egypt in 2000 and an M.Phil. in System Dynamics from the University of Bergen, Norway in 2004. He has been employed by the Information Technology Institute (www.iti.gov.eg) as lecturer in the Department of Computer Networks, from 2000 to 2002, then he moved to the Information and Decision Support Center (www.idsc.gov.eg) affiliated with the Egyptian Cabinet of Ministers, to work in many positions starting from a senior modeller and ending by the deputy manager of the economic issues programme, for more than six years, he has joined many activities and participated in many publications in different research fields including: Egyptian agriculture, poverty, subsidies and others. He worked as a co author in the Egyptian Human Development Report 2005. By the end of 2008, he moved to Norway to work for his Ph.D. through the eGovMon project (www.egovmon.no), his role in this project is to build a simulation model using System Dynamics methodology, aiming at enabling eGovernment decision makers/managers to examine the effects of their policies/decisions on the eGovernment performance – each according to his/her scope respectively – in terms of eGovernment Accessibility, Transparency, Efficiency and Impact, and to enhance their mental models by exposing the underlying system structure and feedback loops to them.
