Dr. Mohammed Ali Akour’s Short Biography
He holds BA (1989) and MBA (1993) degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma, USA, in Business Administration-MIS. He obtained his Ph.D. in Instructional Technology from the University of Oklahoma, USA in 1997. He completed his Ph.D.’s Residency in E-learning and information systems at the Federal Aviation Administration, Training Operation & Technologies Support Branch Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, U.S.A.
In the USA, he served in many administrative positions along with his teaching responsibilities. He was the State of Oklahoma's Representative for the Drug & Alcohol Services Information System and Project Analyst, (1999-2002). He published ten DataBooks and many research papers focusing on the effects of Computer-Assisted Instruction on learners' performances. He taught several years at Oklahoma City Community College and Redlands Community College. He is a member of many international organizations. He was a Special Assistant to the President at Red Eagle Resources Corporation, 1992.
In 2002, he joined Al al-Bayt University College of Information Technology in Jordan as an assistance professor in the College of Information Technology. He served in many administrative positions including department chair, dean assistant, and vice dean. Dr. Akour is a citizen of USA and Jordan.
