Hulusi Açıkgöz received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Applied Physics from Paris-Est Marne La Vallée University, France in 2003 and 2005, respectively. His Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering is obtained from Pierre et Marie Curie University, France, in 2008. He was a post-doctoral researcher at the Laboratoire d'Électronique et Électromagnétisme (L2E), France, in 2010. In 2015, he spent a sabbatical year at Penn State University, USA, within the Electromagnetic Communication Lab, directed by Prof. Raj Mittra. Since 2011, he is working at KTO Karatay University, Turkey as an assistant professor in the electrical and electronics department. His main research interests include computational electromagnetics, antennas modelling and analysis, RFID antennas, graphene antennas, statistical electromagnetics, development of antennas for microwave cancer ablation, inverse problems, neural networks. Dr. Acikgoz’s is a member of IEEE and steering committee member of URSI Turkey. He organized and served as the general chairman of URSI Turkey national congress, in 2018.
