Biography
K. Arul is Associate Professor in Knitwear Design Department, NIFT, Chennai. He joined NIFT in 2005. Specializes in Fashion Illustration, Design Process and Portfolio Development. K. Arul has been the Centre Coordinator for Knitwear Design Department 2011-2014 and Link Centre Coordinator for Foundation Programme 2014-17. Prior to joining as Faculty, Arul worked as Knitwear Designer in Tirupur Export Sector which utilized his Design skills to develop for notable brands like Levis, JC Penney, Diesel and other online leading stores. He continues to lead several Design Projects from the Industry even now.K. Arul is a Postgraduate of Knitwear Design and Technology from NIFT. He also holds an M.B.A in Education Management and now pursuing Ph.D. from Madras University focusing research on Fashion Education and its Quality Parameters. Additionally, he also has a PGD in Computer Applications
