This study investigates economic, environmental impacts and social acceptance of passive solar water heater installations in Irbid, Amman, Mafraq and Zarqa’a governorates in Jordan (2017-2018). Data was gathered and assessed through an impact survey on 60 out of targeted 750 households. The data of this survey was analyzed statistically and presented in this report. The results indicated that the level of social acceptance of the solar water heaters in these communities was high and the systems have large potential of spread widely throughout the kingdom due to its short payback periods and direct impact on beneficiaries’ lives in different domains. Additionally, the solar water heater potential to contribute to enhance the environmental impact and in the region by decreasing the dependency on non-renewable resources, and therefore, decreasing the carbon footprint per capita.
