Jesús Almazán obtained his university degree in Telecommunications Engineering, specializing in Radio Communications and Electronic Design in 2001 at the Alfonso X El Sabio University (UAX). He started to work in management, technology and outsourcing consulting in 2002 at Accenture, developing communications infrastructure systems in the banking and insurance sector. Then he went on to develop his professional experience, between 2003 and 2005 as an external consultant in communications systems and high security, defense and radio link projects. In 2005 he joined the company LINEAS Y CABLES - KRIPTON INGENIEROS, S.A. as Project Manager in the Radio communications, Energy and Defense department.
Already in 2008, he became part of the company AQUA-CONSULT INGENIEROS, S.L. as Project Manager, developing a multitude of tasks within the Telecommunications department as an expert in optimization of network provisioning procedures and infrastructures. He participated in various consulting SATCOM projects to carry out analysis and studies for the planning and assignment of radio communication services frequencies, standardization and deployment of telecommunications networks, as well as in international regulation projects for telecommunications, management services spectrum and broadcasting, applicable in the European Union and Latin America. He also performed the role of national and international expert in the processing of telecommunications networks and their management between the Spanish administration and the International Telecommunications Union, following the recommendations set by the ITU.
At the same time, during the years from 2015 to January 2021, he developed activities as a freelance consultant expert in SATCOM projects and ITU telecommunications legislation process projects for satellite companies. From November 2019 to January 2021 he joined the company AISTECH SPACE, S.L. as Manager of the Technology and Agricultural Consulting Business Unit.
He joined GMV’s team in February 2021 to work as a Senior Project Manager of the CSCC Business Unit – Strategy department. Now he is involved in several SATCOM projects as an expert in management and innovation and research consulting, public policy, standardization and telecommunications business.
