Circuits, Devices and Subsystems Optoelectronic Circuits
Biography
Dr. Md Tanvir Hasan is an Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST). He received his Doctor of Engineering in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Fukui, Japan, in 2013. He had one year of postdoctoral experience in the Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Fukui, Japan. He served as a Professional Activities Coordinator and for IEEE BDS ExCom 2017. He also worked as a Secretary, IEEE YP BDS ExCom 2016. He has been involved in research to advance III-V-based semiconductor devices (especially MOSFETs, HEMTs, and Solar cells). His primary focus has been on the III-V-based devices: design, growth, fabrication, and characterization for next-generation high-performance switching devices and future high-efficiency high-performance solar cells. In addition, he has also been engaged in modeling and simulation III-V-based MOSFETs for high-performance, low-power switching applications. He has authored and co-authored numerous research articles in high-impact journals and many prestigious international conference proceedings.
Dr. Hasan received the MONBUKAGAKUSHO Scholarship from Japan (MEXT, 2010-2013). He got the IEEE Student Paper Award (Honourable Mention) from IEEE Electron Devices Society, Bangladesh Chapter, 2007. He serves as a reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, Applied Physics Letters, Journal of Applied Physics, Optics Express, and numerous national and international conferences. He presented invited talks in different IEEE Student Branch, Bangladesh (RUET and SUST) and AIUB on Progress, Status, and Prospects of III-nitride-based Devices. He is a member of the Institute of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB). He is also a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
