Title Evaluation of Self-Tuned Fuzzy-PID Controller over Titration Process
Authors Dr. Shebel Alsabbah, Al-Balqa Applied University , Salt, Jordan
Abstract The application of intelligent systems along with conventional control theories has been widely presented in the recent literature to compensate for the nonlinearity exhibited by the titration process, as a case study. A self-tuned fuzzy PID controller (STFPID) is proposed to, precisely, control the observed pH value in a titration process at various operating conditions. In order to compensate for the experimental inaccuracies in measurements of pH in-situ values; an observer for pH is implemented using a hybrid neural network structure. The implemented intelligent-based controller shows an enhanced performance over the classical controllers for both transient and steady state responses. The system variables are determined based on self-tuned formulas that have an adaptive capability to handle nonlinearity and parameter uncertainties in titration process at diverse working conditions. Simulated results are provided to validate the performance of the proposed methodology.
