Abstract
This paper relates the problem of coverage in urban
5G wireless networks with relevant propagation and blocking
models using a set of simulations performed in MATLAB and
Open Street Maps. From a statistical analysis of these results,
major characteristics that define this problem are extracted and
discussed from a theoretical viewpoint. Further, a review of the
current IMT-2020 and 3GPP standards on radiopropagation for
5G have been carried out.
