Welcome to the
2008 Global Congress on Communications, Networking and Information Technology (GC-CNIT 2008). This event is intended to represent a major forum for researchers, professionals and students from all over the world to meet in the beautiful and culturally rich city of Amman in Jordan to present their latest research results and to exchange new ideas and practical experiences.
ScopeGC-CNIT 2008 main scope includes, but is not limited to the following areas: Communications and Computer Networks; Communication and Information Technology; Digital Communication Systems; Multimedia Communications; GC-CNIT 2008 is planned to feature special sessions, keynote talks and tutorial sessions by leading experts, paper presentations, poster shows, demo shows, discussion panels, as well as other interesting technical activities.
JordanComing to Jordan represents a unique opportunity to witness the embrace of history and future. As small in area as it is, Jordan has a rich history spanning thousands of years, a history that a tourist can only admire. Places like Petra and the Dead Sea are only examples of the many one-of-a-kind places to visit in Jordan. On top of all that, Jordan, as a peaceful country in a turbulent area, enjoys extreme levels of safety and security. At each conference, and based on paper review scores, the paper with the highest scores receives the Best Paper Award. This is an award to which only presented papers are eligible. The best paper award is usually delivered to the presenter of the winning paper at the main conference dinner. |

Dr. Mousa T. Al Akhras, University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan Mousa AL-Akhras is a member of IEEE and he was elected as a secretary for general activities of the IEEE executive committe, Jordan Section, region 8 for the years 2010-2011. He was also elected as vice-chair for Computational Intelligence/Computer Joint Societies Chapter, Jordan section for the years 2010-2011. He is also a member of IEEE CIS & RAS Societies. Mousa received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Jordan, Jordan, in 2000 and 2003, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree from De Montfort University, UK, in 2007. He is currently working as an assistant professor in the Computer Information Systems Department at King Abdullah II School for Information Technology (KASIT) at the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan (http://www.ju.edu.jo/). He is also the assistant dean for computer and development affairs at the faculty of graduate studies at the university of Jordan. Dr.AL-Akhras main research interests include problems in the area of Artificial Intelligence and particularly Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). His research interests include Voice over IP, Multimedia Communication, Robotics, Genetic Algorithm, Fuzzy Logic, and statistics. He is also interested in the area of electronic learning (e-learning) and mobile learning (m-learning). Mousa is in the organizing and technical committees for a number of local and international conferences. Also, he serves as a reviewer and a member of the editorial board in a number of local and International Journals. He is a member of the Jordan Society for Scientific Research (JSSR), He also serves as a judge in the national and Arabic robot contest (First Lego League). |
