Biography I am an Associate Professor in Special Education at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University. For the past two years, I worked as the Dean and Head of Department of Psychology and Special Education for the academic year 2018-2019, and Dean for Arts and Sciences 2017-2018, Head of Department of Psychology and Special Education 2016-2017, Founder and Director / Counseling and Special Education Center 2014-2016. Before joining Al-Ahliyya Amman University, I worked in different NGOs working psychology and disability issues and finally worked with UNHCR. I attended many training courses in Psychology and Special Education as: Training of Educational Trainers and Leaders, Basic Course for Early Intervention Program of Training for Mothers of Children with Special Needs, Administration and Supervision in Special Education, Training of Trainers (TOT) in Special Education, Building and Improving Administrative Skills in NGOs, Writing Proposals in NGOs, Communication Skills and Team Building in NGOs, Funding Micro Projects in NGOs, Advanced Course of Training of Trainers (TOT) in NGOs, Saving Children Initiative / Cultural Department / Greatest Amman Municipality, Planning in NGOs Using Logical Frame Thinking, Advocacy for Individuals with Disabilities, Peer Support and Counseling Training Course / HM Queen Rania Initiative for helping families of Amman terrorism explosions victims / member of the national team for psychosocial support in crises, Specialized Training Course in Psychosocial Support / FIDA, and Best Interest Determination for the unaccompanied minors and separated children / UNHCR-Geneva office/ Switzerland. I also provided and supervised other training courses as: Empowering Individuals with Disabilities / Authorized Trainer at Landmine Survivors Network, Peer Support Skills / Authorized Trainer / Landmine Survivors Network, Counseling Victims of Sex and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) / UNHCR, Communication Skills and Interviewing Refugees / UNHCR, Interviewing Skills for Unaccompanied Minors and Separated Children / UNHCR, Regional Psychosocial Workshop for UNHCR and NGOs staff in MENA Region / UNHCR and Northumbria University / UK, Regional Training for Media Workers in MENA Region: Psychosocial Consideration in interviewing Refugees and Writing Reports / UNHCR, besides to participating in two conferences: Culture of Dialogue and Civil Society Berghof Foundation and Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Jordan and Drug therapy versus behavioral therapy for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. I am a member in many initiative as: HM Queen Rania Initiative for helping families of Amman terrorism explosions victims / member of the national team for psychosocial support in crises, Steering Committee for Psychosocial Support in NGOs in Jordan, Editing Committee: Revising the Arabic Version of The Inter-Agency Standing Committee for Guidelines on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergency Settings, and Team of Experts member / Jordan Special Education Center for Excellence, besides to some voluntary activities such as: Improving and Preserving Water in Jordan / Ministry of Water and Irrigation and Jordan Environment Society / Member, LifeLine for Rehabilitation / Founding Committee, Landmine Survivors Care and Rehabilitation Society / Founder, Conducting group of Training Sessions in Non-Profit NGOs and Special Education Centers.
