Special Issue on Cloud Computing Internet of Things Architectures
Announced by: Dr. Mohammad Ayoub Khan on Monday, 22 June 2020

EAI Endorsed Transactions on Cloud Systems

SPECIAL ISSUE CALL-FOR-PAPERS

ON

Cloud Computing Internet of Things Architectures

(Indexed in DOAJ, DBLP, CrossRef, EBSCO, EuroPub, Publons, Google Scholar)

Online submission at https://escripts.eai.eu/publication/286

Email: ayoub.khan@ieee.org

SCOPE:

The Internet of Things (IoT) includes items such as physical devices, cars, buildings with embedded hardware, applications, sensors, and network connectivity to store, send and receive data. The current IoT environment rely on centralised(client/server) model. The connection, authentication and data processing of the devices are managing using cloud servers that requires high processing power and storage capacity even if they happen to be a few feet apart.  However, still in many applications the low response latency for IoT services exists at the cost of computing complexity which are beyond of the capabilities of the IoT devices. To overcome this issue mobile transparent computing, cloud computing and edge computing are being developed. In IoT the devices exchange the data using cloud for scalable computation. The cloud computing has appeared as a paradigm for storage and analytics for IoT applications. The cloud computing and IoT can enable many sensing services and processing of sensing data streams beyond the capability of individual Internet of things, thus stimulating innovations in both fields. The new algorithm for data fusion and machine learning techniques can be deployed to run either on centralised or distributed could to achieve the self-decision making in IoT applications. The purpose of this special issue is to put cloud computing and IoT trends to add value to the applications and discover new algorithms. The special issue solicits original research, reviews and case studies on all topics related to the combination of cloud ccomputing and IoT. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

TOPICS:

  • Cloud Computing and IoT
  • Cloud frameworks for IoT
  • Block-chain for Cloud computing and IoT
  • Cloud architectures and models for IoT
  • Mobile transparent and cloud computing in IoTs
  • Convergence of energy harvesting and cloud computing in IoTs
  • Security, privacy, integrity, and trust in IoT cloud computing
  • Hardware design and prototyping in IoTs
  • Distributed monitoring, control and optimization
  • Data driven modelling and analysis of IoT
  • Sensing and wireless technologies in IoT
  • Stability and optimal control of IoT
  • Testing and simulation platforms for cloud computing in IoTs
