With deployment of emerging technologies, the demand for higher data bit rate has tremendously been increased. Due to rapid exchange in data has paid the attention of many researchers to introduce improved techniques and devise a new method to withstand this large demand. Fiber Optic has the highest data rate among all other wire transmission lines; however, there are many limitations in Fiber which limit the transmission rate. Lower Bandwidth and Group velocity dispersion (GVD). As GVD is one of the highest shortcomings, which causes the dispersion of the bits resulting collapse and damage start after certain period of time. This dispersion is related proportionally to the transmission rate that is the one of data rate limitations. In this paper, we propose a new method to decrease the GVD by using delay element. The delay element is made of a martial that has higher index of refraction than the fiber. We validate our claim by using some mathematical equations and simulation, which will allow us to increase the transmission rate.
