Abstract |
With the rapid growth of the wireless Internet service, the interest in security technology over the wireless Internet has been increased. Security Internet will provide users with confidentiality, authentication, data integrity, and non-repudiation based on PKI (Public Key Infrastructure). PKI Certificate must be validated. However, there is no Standard for validating the PKI certificate in the mobile device. To provide PKI services for the wireless mobile environment; we need to have a standard method that enables wirelesses users to validate the other party’s certificate efficiently. Therefore; we are proposing the certificate validation model that combines two basic methods of certificate status validation i.e. Certificate Revocation List (CRL) and On-line Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP). CRL and OCSP two methods are widely used in the wire environment. Using our proposed model will not require any computational overhead on the mobile device. Because PKI certificate validation processes will be held on the server node. |
