Abstract in this paper, we present a novel slot Coupled-feed antenna for an RFID TAG. The proposed antenna has a circular polarization. The introduced slot gives the possibility to reduce antenna size with more than 40% of the initial dimensions. By analytic model we can easily control the input impedance of the proposed antenna. The gain and directivity of our antenna is acceptable for an RFID application. The novel antenna is simulated by using CST and compared to a classical rectangular patch. The RFID resonant frequency is 2.45GHz.
