Biography
Formerly a Chemistry and Math Professor for 15 years (FEU, UP Manila, PMMA and PWU Graduate School); Research Director of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy for 2 years and pioneer MAAP Executive Dean and Director for Research & Extension Services Director for 15 years, she is currently the pioneer MAAP External Relations Director. She holds 6 professional degrees (Master in Bioethics and Global Public Health or MBGPH, PhD in Educational Administration, Master in Shipping Business Management or MSBM, MBA in Management, MS Chemistry and BS Chemistry ) all earned with academic honors and thru scholarships/grants. She served as Honorary Professor, Visiting Professor and Senior Research Fellow both local and international in Australian Asian Research & Educational Foundation (AAREF), Australia; American University of Sovereign Nations (AUSN) Arizona USA & by the Royal Institute of Singapore (RI) to name a few. She is contributor and member of International Editorial Board for various academic journals in Australia (AUMII); China (Bit Conference); Poland (TRANSNAV); Romania (JMET); Turkey (JEMS); USA (JAUSN) & UK (JKIE). As DOST /NRCP scholar, research leader & secretary of Educational, Governmental and International Studies Division of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP), she has accomplished two funded research projects with policy implications. As National Scientist, she is listed in the 2013 Philippine Men & Women of Science at the NRCP, Department of Science & Technology (DOST). She was awarded the Global Education Leadership Award for Excellence in Education, Leadership and Teaching, during the World Education Congress (100 countries) in Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai India on July 23, 2015 and the “Women Super Achievers Award” during the Asia’s Educational Excellence Award held at Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore on August 13, 2015. She is currently involved in two IAMU funded research projects: GECAMET project and PAES-P project.
