Biography
Habtamu Abie (male) Dr. Habtamu Abie (PhD) is currently a Chief Research Scientist at NRS. He received his B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Oslo, and has a solid and extensive background in the design and development of real-time systems, the design, analysis and implementation of control, monitoring and data acquisition systems in distributed and complex environments, and the design, modelling and development of security for critical infrastructures. He has served as guest-editor of international journals, co-organized and co-chaired international workshops in conjunction with highly reputed international conferences (BodyNets, ACM UbiComp, ECSA, IEEE ICC, IEEE Industry Forum, IEEE WiMob, to mention few). He participates as a reviewer and member of the technical program committee in international conferences and workshops and reviews scientific papers in books and international journals. He is also member of the editorial boards of International Journal On Advances in Intelligent Systems, and International Journal On Advances in Telecommunications. He serves as a project proposal reviewer for research and higher academic institutions.
