Biography
Pierre Saulais received his Engineering Degree from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace (Toulouse, France) in 1977. He spent almost 40 years in Defense industry, with many positions in R&D, as top technical executive manager as well as senior technical expert at the same time (double position). During these years, he gave numerous lectures in microwaves, networks, radar theory, optimisation theory, system engineering, simulation, modelling and he is still an active senior lecturer in probabilities & statistics. In parallel with his industrial activity, he received his PhD degree in Knowledge Management in 2013 from the Mines-Telecom Institute (Paris, France) where he becomes associate researcher. He is also associate researcher in the Institute for Knowledge and Innovation of Bangkok University (Bangkok, Thaïland). His research fields are focused on Knowledge Based Innovation (KBI) and Inventive Knowledge generation & extraction, converging towards a new domain which he calls Inventive Knowledge Management (IKM). He is a member of several academic reviews’ editorial board, a Senior member of several professional societies and a member of several academic associations.
