Biography
Antoanela Naaji is an associate professor of Computer Science at the Faculty of Economics, Engineering and Computer Science within “Vasile Goldis” Western University of Arad, Romania. She is also a director of International Relations Department at the same university. She received the M.S. degree in 1987 from the Faculty of Electrotechnics in Timisoara, Romania, with a major in Automation and Computers and Ph.D. degree from “Politehnica” University of Timisoara, Romania, in 2005 with a doctoral thesis, “Contributions to the Modelling Techniques of the Human Upper Limb”, tackling an interdisciplinary field. Her research interest includes web technologies (e-learning), biomechanics (modeling of biological systems) and medical informatics. In 2009 she received a LL.M degree in Administrative Law and the Statute of Public Officers from “Vasile Goldis” Western University of Arad, Romania.
She published over 90 articles in national and international peer reviewed journals or conference volumes, 6 books as author or co-author and 7 books as editor or co-editor. Her preoccupations in the above-mentioned fields are reflected in a number of 30 projects, as manager or member, funded by EU, national or international research authorities or county council.
She is a senior member of IEEE, member of EAEEIE (European Association for Electrical Engineer and Information Engineering), AGIR (General Association of Romanian Engineers) and SRIM (Romanian Society for Medical Informatics).
