Biography
Dr. Mohammad O. Hamdan is an Associate professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the American University of Sharjah, UAE. Dr. Hamdan is an active researcher in thermofluids area. His research interests include renewable energy, heat augmentation, synthetic jet, swirl cooling, micro-channel flow, phase change, loop heat pipe, vortex tube cooling, porous media, and combustion. Dr. Hamdan has published over 72 manuscripts. He serves as member of the editor board for Journal of Applied Mechanical Engineering and has served as guest edition for Renewable Energy Journal. He is a member in ASME, AIAA and ASES. Dr. Hamdan has worked at UAE University as associate professor (2007-2015). He worked as research scientist for GE Research Center, USA (2005-2007). Prior that he worked as Structure Analyst Engineer for Honeywell Int., USA (2003-2005). He started his career as adjunct professor teaching in college of applied science at University of Cincinnati, OH, USA.
