Yifang Liu received the B.S. degree in computer engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, the M.S. degree in computer science from the University of Maryland, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station. He has been with IBM T. J. Watson Research center from May to October 2008. Currently he is a software engineer at Google Inc. His research interest is on algorithm design and analysis, applied optimization, statistical modeling and optimization in Computer-Aided Design for VLSI circuits. He is an elected member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society. He is a co-author of a book titled "GPU Computing Gems", Elsevier, 2010. He published near 20 articles on internationally renowned conferences and journals.
