Khaled studied the Markers Assisted Selection for Salt Stress and Quality Traits in Sweet Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) for his PhD while at Agriculture Research Center during 1999-2005, then spent 10 years at laboratory, greenhouse, and stations of Sugar Crops Research Institute, ARC to study the genome and traits of sugar crops and sweeteners. Now he joined the Genetic Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Beni-Suef University. He is the author of more than 20 scientific papers, has published modified method for “DNA extraction”. Has more than 20 Pythium sp; and sequence of amylase gene isolated from Bacillus stearothermophilus registered on GeneBank database His research concerns the genetic markers that assist breeder for selection in crop plants, how plant is affected by environmental stress and crop management, and how it can be manipulated to improve crop yield, quality, and food safety. He is faculty member of the genetic dept., Faculty of Agriculture, Beni Suef University (Egypt). Supervising of genetics dept. Director of laboratories Unit and Member of the Executive Council for central laboratory of the university.
