Biography
Nabil Naas received his B.Sc. (Hons) degree in electrical and electronic engineering from University of Tripoli, Libya, in 1990. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Queen?s University in Kingston-Ontario, and University of Ottawa in 1999 and 2008 respectively. From 1999-2002, he worked as an optical network planner at Nortel Networks in Ottawa. He is currently a research associate at the School of Information Technology and Engineering (SITE) of the University of Ottawa. He is also an associate professor at the electrical and electonic engineering department of the University of Tripoli, Tripoli-Libya. Dr. Naas is a senior member of the IEEE and has been a reviewer of several IEEE international conferences and journals. His main research interests include modeling, optimization, and planning of optical transport network; SDN; and AI in optical network.
