Biography
He holds a degree in Computer Networks from the Três de Maio Faculty - SETREM (2009), a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul - PUCRS (2012) in the area of Parallel and Distributed Processing (DPP), Ph.D. in Informatics by Universitá di Pisa - UNIPI (2016) in the area of Parallel Programming Models and PhD in Computer Science by PUCRS (2016) in the area of PPD. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at PUCRS, an associate researcher in the Parallel Applications Modeling Group - GMAP and a professor at SETREM. He was the founder and currently is the head of the Laboratory of Advanced Researches on Cloud Computing - LARCC of SETREM. He has been visiting professor at Germany and Spain universities. He Coordinates and worked on research projects with the industry and research institutions. Have more than 50 papers published in international conferences and journals. He is a reviewer for different international journals as well as chief-editor and editorial-board for two of them. His research interests are in the following topics: methodologies, languages, and libraries for parallel programming; compiler and programming language design; parallel application modeling; cloud computing; cloud management and developing platforms; autonomous and self-adaptive systems, high-performance computing; datacenter infrastructures; performance analysis; computer networks; big data stream processing; and edge computing.
