Dr. Shaima Elbardawil is a Jordanian visual communication practitioner, researcher, and educator. She received her Master and Doctorate degrees from Nottingham Trent University, Nottingham – United Kingdom. Her research focuses on exploring the essential visual communication requirements fro various types of users with specific interest in those who belongs to various cultural backgrounds. Cultural representation and signifying practices have been central to her practice, research and education philosophies throughout her career. Currently, Dr. Shaima is based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates where she is working as an assistant professor of Graphic Design, at the College of Fine Arts and Design in the University of Sharjah. Dr. Shaima served as the Graphic Design and Multimedia program coordinator from 2012-2019.
