Biography Kasper Paasch received the Master degree in Optics in 1991 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern Denmark in 2016. He is currently an associate professor at the Center for Industrial Electronics (CIE) at the University of Southern Denmark in Sønderborg, Denmark. He has been the organizing chair of the IEEE CPE-POWERENG2019 conference as well as other conferences. His area of interest includes power systems related studies, renewable energy, medical technology, energy storage, photovoltaic systems, sensor technology, communication systems, antennas and EMC. He has served as board member of the Danish Optical Society, DOPS, for more than 20 years. He has for more than 20 years been employed in various industrial R&D positions, managing industrial R&D projects and university/industry co-operations. He is a member of several European Commission expert panels. To date, he has successfully supervised and graduated over 60 post-graduate students.
