S. Hirasawa received his B.S. Degree in Math, and B.E. Degree in Electrical Communication Eng. from Waseda Univesity, Tokyo, in 1961, and 1963, respectively. He recieved his Dr. E Degree in Comm. Eng. from Osaka University, Osaka in 1975.
He join Mitsubishi Elctric Co. in 1963, and moved to Waseda University as a professor in 1981. He is now Professor Emeritus, Waseda University, and Research Fellow, Insttitute for Scinence and Engineering, Waseda University.
