Dr. Abu-Rub has earned many prestigious international awards including the American Fulbright Scholarship, the German Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship, the German DAAD Scholarship, the British Royal Society Scholarship, the Arab Fund (Kuwait), and many others.
His main research areas are speed sensorless control of AC motors, Predictive control of power electronics and electric motors, Multiphase inverters and motors, Multilevel Inverters, Fault Detection in Electric Machines, Solar and Wind Energy Conversion.
