Biography
Dimitrios Εfstathiou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics Engineering, Technological Educational Institute of Central Macedonia, Serres, Greece. He received a Diploma of Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Patras, Greece. He received a M.Sc. in Digital Electronics and a Ph.D. in the Mobile Telecommunication Systems from the Department of Electrical Engineering of King' College, University of London, United Kingdom. He has more than twenty-five years of professional and academic experience in the field of digital telecommunication systems. He was awarded four USA patents. He worked for Nokia Mobile Phones in Camberley, Surrey, United Kingdom. In 1996 he joined Analog Devices Inc. at Greensboro, North Carolina, USA. He contributed as a systems designer and project manager to the design of various digital integrated circuits. His current research interests include wireless body area networks (WBANs), Physical Layer Security, Cognitive Radio, Clock generation and distribution, Direct Digital Synthesizers (DDS), analogue and digital Phase Lock Loops (PLLs).
