Biography
Ali is a University of Central Florida MS and PhD graduate. As an associate professor in construction engineering and management, Dr. Alis’ research has been focusing efforts to towards automation and AI applications in construction to have more resilient and sustainable infrastructure systems. He has conducted several projects about heavy construction equipment management, design of construction contracts, asset management, COVID-19 impact on construction sector, applications of AI in construction industry, and engineering education. Alis’ research interests include but not limited to: Automation of Construction Processes Using AI and IoT, Optimization of Construction Scheduling Using AI and Blockchain, Predictive Maintenance of Construction Equipment Using Digital Twin Technology, Real-Time Monitoring of Construction Sites Using IoT and AI, Automated Risk Management in Construction Projects Using Blockchain, Smart Contracts for Construction Project Management Using Blockchain, Augmented Reality for Improved Quality Control in Construction Sites, Autonomous Vehicles for Material Delivery in Construction Sites, Machine Learning-Based Predictive Analytics for Cost Estimation in Construction Projects, and Cloud Computing-Based Collaborative Design Platforms for Constructions Projects.
