Biography
Dr. Kavita Tabbassum is an Associate Professor (BPS-20) at the Information Technology Centre, Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam, Pakistan. She received her B.E. degree in Electronic Engineering in 2001, M.E. degree in Communication Systems and Networks in 2014, and Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering in 2020 from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, Pakistan.
Her research interests include computer architecture, scratchpad memory management, multicore and parallel computing, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), edge AI, smart agriculture, wireless and telecommunication systems, and AI-enabled embedded systems. Her research work particularly focuses on efficient memory architectures and management techniques for multicore and AI-based computing systems.
Dr. Shahnawaz has extensive experience in teaching, research supervision, curriculum development, and academic administration. She has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and is involved in research and development activities related to emerging ICT and AI technologies. Her recent research interests also include the application of AI, IoT, drones, and edge computing for intelligent agriculture and resource optimization.
She is actively engaged in higher education and research and has contributed to research publications in the areas of computer architecture, scratchpad memory, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, and intelligent computing systems.
