Biography
Md. Maidul Islam is an electrical engineer and researcher from Bangladesh specializing in sustainable energy transition, renewable energy integration, energy storage systems, and intelligent energy technologies. He completed his Master of Engineering (Thesis-Based) in Sustainable Energy Transition at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, with a CGPA of 3.60/4.00 under a bell-curve grading system, ranking within the top 3% of his respective batch, supported by Her Majesty the Queen’s Scholarship. He previously earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Power Major) from Green University of Bangladesh with a CGPA of 3.97/4.00.
His research interests include renewable energy systems, battery energy storage, hydrogen-based energy technologies, smart grids, energy management, and AI-driven solutions for future power systems. He has contributed to research publications focusing on energy storage technologies, renewable energy integration, machine learning applications, and sustainable energy transition. His work aims to support the development of reliable, resilient, and low-carbon energy systems.
Beyond academic research, he has gained professional experience in electrical engineering, research assistance, and project activities, strengthening his expertise in power systems, engineering analysis, and practical energy applications. He is passionate about advancing sustainable energy technologies through interdisciplinary research and international collaboration. His long-term goal is to become an independent researcher contributing to global energy innovation while developing research collaborations between Bangladesh and the international scientific community.
