Biography
Tzyh-Ghuang Ma was born in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1973. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University in 1995 and 1997, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Communication Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2005. In 2005, he joined the faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, where he is now an associate professor.
Dr. Ma was the recipient of the Poster Presentation Award at 2008 International Workshop on Antenna Technology (iWAT), Chiba, Japan, and the recipient of the Best Paper Award at 2011 International Workshop on Antenna Technology (iWAT), Hong Kong, China. In 2010, he received the Dr. Wu Da-Yu award from National Science Council, the most outstanding research award for young researchers in Taiwan. In the same year, he received the certificate from IEEE transactions on Antennas and Propagation for his exceptional performance as an article reviewer during 2009-2010. His research interests include miniaturized microwave circuit designs, ultra-wideband antennas, antenna arrays, and radio frequency identification (RFID). He is a senior member of IEEE.
