Biography Bashar H. Al-Omari is a Professor of Civil Engineering and the Director of the Consultative Center at the Jordan University of Science and Technology and Transportation Engineering consultant at Gulf Engineering House, Riyadh, KSA. He holds a PhD in Traffic Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and has over 20 years of academic and practical experience in USA, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. His areas of interest in research and consulting include Traffic Control & Management; Traffic Safety; Public Transportation; Highway Design; Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS); Transportation Planning and Modeling; and Rail Transport.
