Biography
Dr Evgenia Vasilakaki was awarded a doctoral degree in May 2011 from the Department of Information & Communications at Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester, UK. She also holds a master degree in “Managing Information Organizations with the use of new technologies” from the Dept. of Archive & Library Sciences, Ionian University, Corfu Greece whereas she holds a degree in Archive and Library Science from the same Department. She is currently employed as a librarian/project manager at NLG since April 2016. For the last eight years, she is a lecturer on a contract basis at the Dept. of Archive, Library Science & Information Studies, University of West Attica, Athens, Greece and she teaches a variety of different courses. She has participated in different national, international and european projects (H2020, Erasmus+, ESPA etc). Her research interests fall in Ontologies, Metadata, Big data, Cultural heritage, Social Network Analysis, Social media research, Human Computer Interaction.
