Biography
Prof.Dr.E.S.M .Suresh is working as Professor and Head of Civil Engineering Department at National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research , Chennai, India (MHRD, Govt. of India). He has more than 30 years of experience in Teaching and Research. He is conducting Faculty Development Programs for Polytechnic and Engineering College Teachers. His areas of interests include GIS Applications, Urban Planning ,Disaster Management, Instructional Design and Delivery Systems, Educational Video Production, Strategic Planning and Institutional Development, Outcome based Education and Accreditation. He has conducted more than 300 training programs for Polytechnic college faculty and more than 150 training programs for Engineering College faculty. He has more than 85 Publications and developed nearly 90 Video Programs.He has conducted about 20 International Training Programs. His trainees spread over more than 50 countries. He is guiding Ph.D Scholars in the area of Engineering Education and Civil Engineering. (6 got Awarded and 6 more are working under his guideship). He is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India) and Member of American Society of Engineering Education, Indian Society of Technical Education, Indian Society for Remote Sensing.He is an Expert Member/chairman of National Board of Accreditation and visited several Institutions for Accreditation.He has visited the countries viz. USA, Canada, The Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, Singapore and Malaysia for academic excellence.
