In 2018, he was elected to occupy a CONACYT Professorship position as Research Professor at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM),Toluca, Mexico. In the project n. 2726 with title “Mechatronics systems and Human-Robot interfaces” to Design robotic systems from a functional and ergonomic point of view. Design and Integrate medical devices (industrial design, electronic, mechanical, safety, health, etc.). In addition, he need to teach subjects oriented to master’s and doctoral students. Write proposals and manage scientific project resources and write publications and patents of high impact in scientific articles. Most recently in September 2019 he obtained the distinction of Candidate to National Researcher for the period January 1st, 2020 – December 31st, 2022, in recognition of his ability to conduct scientific research.
He was working as research fellow at Perceptual Robotics Laboratory (PERCRO) of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna during the period of April 14th, 2017 until June 11th, 2018.
He earned his PhD degree with Summa Cum Laude in Emerging Digital Technologies at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy, on March 24th, 2017 with a research tilted “Teleoperation, Telerobotics and Industrial Context”. As part of his PhD he also did a period abroad at Bristol Robotics Laboratory of the UWE, UK.
His background is oriented in Robotics, teleoperation and Haptic control, Electronics, PCB design, Microcontrollers, Automation, Mechatronics and Virtual Environments. As part of his career, he wrote and participated in different Journals and Conferences publications. He has also been working on different EU and Industrial projects.
His research interests include:
Medical (Exoskeletons, rehabilitation, etc.) and Industrial Robotics, Tele-robotics, Haptic Control.
Development of Mechatronic and Electronic systems.
Electronic Design of PCBs and Mechanisms.
Microcontrollers (ARM cortex, Arduino, PIC) programming and Automation.
Virtual Environments and Haptic Interfaces.
