Biography
I. Dey (Member, IEEE) received the M.Sc. degree in wireless communications from the University of Southampton, Southampton, U.K., in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Calgary, Calgary, Canada, in 2015. From 2017 to 2019, she was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie (EDGE) Fellow at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. She was a Research Fellow with the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway, from 2016 to 2017. In 2016, she received the prestigious Alain Bensoussan research fellowship from the European Research Consortium for Information and Mathematics (ERCIM). From 2015 to 2016, she was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Ultra-Maritime Digital Communication Center, Dalhousie University, Canada. She is currently a Lecturer/Assistant Professor with Department of Electronic Engineering, National University of Ireland, Maynooth. She conducts her research at the Irish Research Centre for Future Networks and Communications (CONNECT). Her current research interests include channel modeling, channel estimation and prediction, adaptive modulation, and dirty tape coding for different wireless propagation environments, and wireless sensor networks.
