Dr. Sukanta Das received the Bachelor of Computer Science and Technology degree from Kalyani University, West Bengal, India in 2000. During 1999-2000, Dr. Das with his 3 friends developed GANAANA, a Bangla programing environment as his final year project. The Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), a national body, awarded the project as the best B. Tech Level project. Dr. Das completed his Master degree in Computer Science & Information Technology from Bengal Engineering College (DU) (presently Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur), Howrah, India in 2002. He joined in the group of Prof. P Pal Chaudhuri for the research of cellular automata and its applications in 2001. Dr. Das continued his research after completion of his Master degree in the Dept. of Computer Science & Technology, BESUS, and concentrated his research on nonlinear cellular automata. In 2003, he joined in the Dept. of Information Technology, BESUS as a Lecturer. He awarded PhD in Engineering in 2007.
