Brief Biodata:
Rakhesh Singh Kshetrimayum (S’02-M’05) received the B. Tech. (first class honors) degree in Electrical Engineering (specialization in Antennas and Propagation) from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India in August 2000 and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Microwave Engineering) from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in June 2005.
From 2000 to 2001, he was a Software Engineer at the Mphasis Architecting Value, Pune, India where he worked in the area of Client/Server programming, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and Berkeley Software Division (BSD) sockets. From 2002-2003, he was a Teaching Assistant in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University where he conducted undergraduate laboratory course in Arithmetic and Sequential Circuits. From 2004 to 2005, he was a Research Associate at the Department of Electrical Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, India where he worked on Electromagnetic Band Gap (EBG) assisted patch antennas. In 2005, he was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Pennsylvania State University, Pennsylvania, USA where he worked on Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) employed Bodies of Revolution (BOR) Electromagnetic Scattering. Since September 2005, he is a faculty member at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India and presently he is an Assistant Professor. His present research interests are in Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Genetic Algorithms (GA), EBG, Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD), Bio-electromagnetics, Metamaterials, Performance enhanced filters, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Broadband, Multiband and Ultra Wideband (UWB) printed antennas and UWB (RFID, pulse propagation, EMI/EMC issues, Low power networking and communications).
Dr. Kshetrimayum is a member of several professional societies, viz., IEEE, IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society, Society of EMC Engineers (life), Institution of Electronics & Telecommunications Engineers (life), etc. He is reviewer of many journals including IEICE Transaction on Electronics, IEEE Transaction on Microwave Theory and Techniques, IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, IEEE Transaction on Antennas and Propagation and IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications. He has been serving in the technical program committee of over a dozen international conferences: 1st International Workshop on Computer Networks & Communications (CONECO), April 2009, Dong Hoi City, Vietnam, World Congress on Computer Science and Information Engineering (CSIE), March 2009, Los Angeles, USA, IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI National Radio Science Meeting (APSI-URSI 2009), Charleston, SC, USA, June 2009, 10th Annual IEEE Wireless and Microwave Technology (WAMICON), April 2009, Clearwater, Florida, USA, International Symposium on Neural Networks (ISNN 2009), May 2009, Wuhan, China and so on. He is in Editorial Board of numerous journals like IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters (reviewer), International Journal of Bio Sciences and Technology (Guest Editor for Special Issue on Bio-electromagnetics) and International Journal of Ultra Wideband Communications and Systems (Founder and Editor-in-Chief). He has published over 50 refereed book chapters, scholarly journal and conference papers. He is the recipient of various academic, research awards and scholarships such as State Merit Scholarship (1988-1991), Nanyang Technological University - Singapore PhD Research Scholarship (2001-2004) and Young Scientist Project Award from Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC), Department of Science & Technology, India (2007-2010.) His biography is included many international biographical references like the Who’s Who in America, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in Asia, Who's Who of Emerging Leaders and Who's Who in Science & Engineering.
