Kemal Alič received his B.Sc., M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2005 and 2008 respectively. He is a researcher at the Department of Communication Systems at the Jozef Stefan Institute and a PhD student. He has actively participated in several communications related projects with for industry such as WiMAX pico base station development and “Telekom Slovenije” backbone analysis. He was also involved in several international projects such as FP7-REGPOT-AgroSense, FP7-STREP-ELU and FP7-ENV-BalkanGEONet where he is also a WP leader. His recent research interests are in the fields of network protocols and architectures, cross-layer optimization and wireless sensor networks.
