Muhammad Mehboob Fareed received B. Sc. degree from Islamia University Bahawalpur, Pakistan
in 1997. He received M. Sc. and M. Phil. degrees in electronics both from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad,
Pakistan, in 2000 and 2002, respectively. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. degree in electrical
engineering at University of Waterloo, Waterloo,
ON, Canada.
From 2000 to 2001, he worked as a Software
Engineer at Elixir Technologies, Pakistan. From
2001 to 2003, he worked as a Design Engineer at
Advanced Engineering and Research Organization (AERO), Pakistan, while
simultaneously teaching at Quaid-e-Azam University as visiting faculty member. His general research interests are in wireless communications. Speciļ¬c
areas include distributed space time coding and power allocation for fading
relay channels.
