Biography
Jean C. C. Silva received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Regional University of Blumenau (FURB), Blumenau, Brazil, in 1999 and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Informatics from Federal University of Technology Paraná (UTFPR), Curitiba, Brazil, in 2001 and 2005, respectively. He has published over 15 papers in renowned journals, 1 international book chapter and over 45 conference papers. Since 2005 he has been a Professor at the UTFPR, where his current research interests are photonics devices for optical communications and optical fiber sensors. He is also a member of the Brazilian Society for Microwaves and Optoelectronics (SBMO).
