Biography
Dr. Mohamed Hamdi received the Engineering Diploma, Master Diploma, and PhD in telecommunications from the Engineering School of Communications (Sup'Com, Tunisia) on 2000, 2002, and 2005; respectively. He is also recipient of the habilitation degree in 2010. He co-authored more than 80 scientific publications published in international journals and conferences. He has also chaired and co-chaired international conferences and special issues in international conferences including the ‘Trust, Security, and Privacy’ symposium in the IEEE IWCMC 2012 conference and the special issue on ‘Web Services in Multimedia Communication’ for the journal on Advances in Multimedia. He is actively involved in international scientific committees including the IEEE Communication and Information Security Technical Committee, the IEEE Multimedia Technical Committee, and the IEEE Social Networks Technical Committee. Moreover, he is the director of the Tunisian chapter of the Science and Engineering Research Support Society.
Dr. Hamdi presented multiple tutorials and invited speeches in international conferences such as the IEEE/ACS AICSSA 2011, IIT 2011, and the GEOSS Forum (Globecom 2011). In addition, Dr. Hamdi has been invited at the ITU World Telecom conference to serve as a panellist in a forum on the security of social networks. He also passed prestigious professional certifications including the CISSP and the CISCO Security certifications.
From 2001 to 2005 he has worked for the National Digital Certification Agency (NDCA, Tunisia) where he was head of the Risk Analysis Team. Dr. Hamdi had in charge to build the security strategy for the Tunisian root Certification Authority and to continuously assess the security of the NDCA's networked infrastructure. He has also served in various national technical committees for securing e-government services.
