Network Protocols and Standards Network Modeling and Simulation
Biography
In 2005 I received the M.S. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Telecommunication Engineering School at Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona. During the last year of my degree I enrolled the DeisNet Research Group in the Università di Bologna, Italy, for the final thesis work. It was entitled "Network Simulator for Optical Packet Switched Networks over MPLS".
I joined the NetCom Research Group of the UPF on January 2006, where I do research tasks related to network topology protocols and simulation modeling. During 2007 I did the Master Program in Information, Communication and Audiovisual Media Technologies (TICMA) with a final thesis work entitled "Characterization of the Spanning Tree Protocol".
In September 2007 I enrolled the PhD program in the same department. In UPF the Phd program is 3-year long (+ 1 previous year of Master). During my first PhD year I have prepared the PhD Thesis proposal: "Path Selection and Topology Protocols in Ethernet Networks: Connectivity Services for Provider Networks".
