Gabriele Ferri received the Laurea
degree (M.S.) in Computer Engineering
(with Honors) from the
University of Pisa, Italy, in 2003.
From 2003 to 2005, he worked as a
Software/System Consultant Engineer
forWASS company (a Finmeccanica
group company) in Livorno,
Italy, working on the design of a
new System of Control and Guidance
for a light-weighted torpedo.
He earned a Ph.D. in Biorobotic
Science and Engineering jointly
from IMT Advanced Studies in
Lucca, Italy and Scuola Superiore
S. Anna, Pisa, Italy in 2008. He was a visiting researcher for one year at
Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Woods Hole, Massachusetts,
USA. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Investigator at CRIM Lab, Scuola
Superiore Sant’Anna. His research interests include robotic systems for
environmental monitoring/exploration, control theory and robot navigation
issues.
