I am a currently Specially Assigned Researcher in Department of Multimedia Engineering, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Osaka University, Japan, and was a Research Scientist in the Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI), at the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG). I received the B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from South Central University for Nationalities, China, 2002, and the M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from Kyung Hee University, Korea, 2005, and the PhD degree in Digital Enterprise Research Institute, NUIG, in 2010. I have published over 100 papers in related conferences, journals, and books. I had been awarded the MASS 2009 IEEE TCs Travel Grant and the Outstanding Leadership Award of EUC 2009 as Publicity Chair, Best Paper Award in Globecom 2010. I have served as editor of some international journals, e.g., IET Communications, KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems (TIIS), Journal of Communications, Wiley, Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing, Wiley, European Transactions on Telecommunications, Inderscience, International Journal of Sensor Networks, Ad Hoc & Sensor Wireless Networks; and guest co-editor of: Springer Telecommunications System, Ad Hoc & Sensor Wireless Networks, Wiley Security and Communication Networks. I have served as more than 40 various Co-Chair for international conferences/workshops, e.g., IWCMC, ICC, ISCC, BodyNets; TPC members of more than 150 conferences. I have served as reviewer of more than 50 journals, including, IEEE Network Magazine, IEEE Transaction on Wireless Communications, IEEE Journal of Selected Areas in Communications (J-SAC), etc. My research interests include wireless sensor networks, sensor network middleware, simulation & testbed, and security. I am a member of IEEE and IEEE ComSoc.
