Biography I was born in Bogotá, Colombia. I got my Electronics Engineering degree in 1987 and the Master on Teleinformatics in 1999, both in the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, Bogotá, Colombia. Since 1988, I have been a professor in the Electronics Engineering program at the same university. From 1988 to 1998, I was working on basic electronics and digital circuits. Since 1998, I have been interested on digital signal processing. Actually, I am teaching on DSP and researching on digital image processing topics as compression and patern recognition in medical images.
